Top 5 News and Magazines Apps on Android in Lithuania Q1 2023

In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 News and Magazines applications on the Android platform in Lithuania exhibited diverse performance metrics. According to Sensor Tower, here's a breakdown of how these apps fared in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Delfi.lt from AS Delfi saw a significant uptick in weekly downloads mid-quarter. Starting with a modest 70 downloads in the first week of January, the app experienced a surge, peaking at nearly 2K downloads in the week of March 13. By the end of March, the weekly downloads leveled off to around 624.

LRT.lt, published by Lietuvos nacionalinis radijas ir televizija, maintained a steady growth in weekly downloads. Beginning with 133 downloads in early January, it climbed consistently, reaching a high of 964 downloads in the week of March 20, and slightly decreased to 888 downloads in the final week of March.

Opera News: breaking & local by Opera experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads. The app started the quarter with 203 downloads in the first week of January, witnessed a peak of 265 downloads mid-January, and then saw a gradual decline, ending the quarter at around 97 downloads. However, the app maintained a relatively stable active user base, ranging from 1.2K to 1.4K weekly active users throughout the quarter.

Rinkimai, published by Lietuvos Respublikos vyriausioji rinkimų komisija, showed a sharp increase in downloads at the end of February, with 1.5K downloads, followed by a drop to 423 downloads in the first week of March.

Way2News Daily News App from Way2News (Formerly Way2SMS) displayed a consistent performance in weekly downloads, starting at 122 in the first week of January and peaking at 206 downloads in the last week of February. The app also saw a steady increase in weekly active users, beginning with 1.8K at the start of the quarter and reaching up to 2.6K by the end of March.
